秋祭り(Akimatsuri:Autumn festival)

Cultural heritage

Speaking of festivals in Imai-cho, many people think of walking around the cityscape in May, but the danjiri of the autumn festival in Imai-cho is very nice.

The autumn festival in Imai-cho is an event for the Ujigami of Kasuga Shrine, which is held on the third Saturday and Sunday of October, to celebrate the fertility of five grains and the safety of the family.

It is a traditional festival that has been passed down for nearly 200 years, and now young people parade through Imai Town while pulling two danjiri.

The appearance of a huge danjiri passing through the tiles of the old cityscape is impressive, and the shots of the old cityscape and the danjiri are attractive! !!

The danjiri in Imai-cho does not have the speed of running on the street like the danjiri in Kishiwada. Go slowly, slowly.

If the danjiri sprints along the narrow roads of Imai-cho, the historic cityscape and danjiri will be difficult.

The sense of speed may be disappointing, but the danjiri that goes through the streets of Imai-cho is a picture!

I had only seen the danjiri towing at noon, but it seems that there is also a danjiri night towing! !!
