Kaiyukan is one of the largest aquariums in the world.
The exhibition is based on the images of the oceans of the world, such as Antarctica, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Pacific Ocean.
It is equipped with 14 exhibition tanks centered on a vast “Pacific” tank that imitates the Pacific Ocean, and the arrangement of these tanks faithfully reproduces the geographical relationship of the Pacific Rim.
In other words, it is reproduced as close as possible to the actual global environment.
At the Kaiyukan, you can see whale sharks swimming gracefully in a huge aquarium.
In addition, you can enjoy the “new experience area” where you can see creatures at a close distance and the “Kaitsuki Galaxy” where jellyfish are mysteriously exhibited.
