A play space that both children and adults can enjoy
The Osaka Prefectural Large Children’s Center, commonly known as the Big Bang, opened in June 1999.
“Children” with a production in line with “The epic journey story of Beal and Mellow, visitors from space” created by Leiji Matsumoto, the creator of the popular anime “Galaxy Express 999” and “Space Battleship Yamato”. A facility that supports the creation of “play and culture”.
In the large stepped space from the 1st floor to the 2nd and 3rd floors of the main building, there is an exhibition of the injection port of a real HI rocket engine and the space suit of astronaut Chiaki Mukai, a warp capsule, an electronic zoo, and a creative studio. You can enjoy the universe through play.
The 4th floor, which looks like a spaceship, has an area that recreates the streets of the 1955’s and a collection of historical toys owned by Osaka Prefecture.
Adjacent to the main building, there is a semi-circular spherical theater and a 53m high playset tower.
From the hugely popular jungle gym “Tower of Playsets” to the safe “Baby Square” and “Picture Book Square” that are safe for small children, you can enjoy various games depending on your interests and age.
You can also experience workshops and making sweets in the hall.
One of the attractions is that you can spend your time indoors regardless of the weather.
I introduced it briefly, but when you actually come to the site, you can experience the history and tradition more concretely with the locals.
