If you want to know about Imaicho, start here.
“Hanaji”, which is the base of the townscape of Imai-cho, was built in 1903 as the Takaichi-gun Education Museum.
It was used as the Imai Town Hall for 30 years from 1929.
The two-story main building is located in the center, and symmetrical transepts spread out on both sides.
The hall has a modern Meiji atmosphere with Western-style stairs and window windows.
There are materials that introduce the history of Imai-cho, a diorama exhibition room that reproduces the townscape, a video theater, and a book reading room.
If you stop by before taking a walk, you can enjoy walking around the town even more.
I introduced it briefly, but when you actually come to the site, you can experience the history and tradition more concretely with the locals.
We look forward to hearing from you in Japan!
