Greater Namba is the goal
At the beginning of the plan, it was tentatively called “New Nankai Kaikan Building”, but it was decided to be “Namba Skyo” by a general vote held in 2017.
As the origin of the name, as a landmark of Namba, which is a terminal directly connected to Kansai International Airport, “Sky” in the world is combined with “O” which represents the acronym of Osaka and the shape of the earth. It means that people from all over the world will gather in Osaka and expand the “ring” of international exchange.
The lower floors from the 1st basement floor to the 9th floor are areas where restaurants, financial services, and commercial service facilities are concentrated.
Japanese traditions, culture and health that foreign visitors to Japan are interested in are set as concepts for each floor, and in the cafeteria operated by Zojirushi Mahobin, which has its head office in Osaka City, and in the traditional industry of Sakai City along the Nankai Line. A Sakai knife company has a store.
There is also a medical institution that supports medical tourism, and we are creating facilities that attract foreign tourists to Japan.
The upper floors from the 13th floor to the 30th floor are office zones where coworking spaces and the like are located, aiming to strengthen business bases in Minami, where the side of the office district is weaker than in the same Osaka city such as Umeda and Yodoyabashi. There is.
Recommended spots include the historic teahouse “Zojirushi Tsuboichi Seicha Honpo”, which was founded in Sen no Rikyu’s hometown of Sakai, and the restaurant “Zojirushi Shokudo” by Zojirushi Mahobin.
I introduced it briefly, but when you actually come to the site, you can experience the history and tradition more concretely with the locals.
