A waterside park sandwiched between the Dojima River and the Tosahori River.
Nakanoshima Park, which is popular among the citizens as an oasis in the city center with a length of about 1.5 km and an area of 10.6 ha, was first created in Osaka City in 1891.
In the park at that time, Osaka’s first beer garden also opened, providing an urban relaxation along with a cafe.
High-quality restaurants such as Western cuisine “Ginsuiro” and Japanese cuisine “Seikaro” are also lined up in the park.
There is also a Noh stage called Midoriyanagikan near the back of the current Central Public Hall, and it seems that Kongo style Noh performances were performed regularly.
Jiyutei Hotel is the only hotel in Osaka that has facilities for foreigners to stay in, and next to it is Naniwa Onsen.
It was a luxurious park at that time.
In the current park, there is a rose garden consisting of about 3,700 stocks of about 310 types, which is in full bloom in mid-May and mid-October.
It will be lit up at the end of the year and will be crowded with spectators.
Retro buildings such as the Central Public Hall and the Prefectural Nakanoshima Library are lined up in the vicinity, and the scenery has been selected as one of the “100 Best Greens in Osaka”.
I introduced it briefly, but when you actually come to the site, you can experience the history and tradition more concretely with the locals.
