Speaking of Osaka Castle, Osaka Castle built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi
The construction of Osaka Castle was started by Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who aims to unify the world, at the site of Honganji Temple in Osaka (Ishiyama) in 1583.
The castle tower, which is the most central building in the main enclosure of the castle, was completed two years later, but the castle tower was also destroyed by the destruction of Toyotomi in the summer of Osaka in the first year of Genna (1615).
Although it was rebuilt in the Tokugawa period, it was burnt down again in 1665 by a lightning strike. Since then, Osaka Castle has remained without a castle tower.
The current castle tower was built in 1931 with the donations of the citizens at the request of the mayor of Seki at that time.
The castle tower, which has been revived for the first time in 266 years, is 55m above the ground and has 5 floors and 8 floors. The golden decorations on the roof, such as the shachi on the roof and the tiger under the sword, are shining brightly (a nationally registered tangible cultural property).
A major renovation was carried out from 1995 to 1997.
You can overlook Osaka from the observation deck on the 8th floor, which is 55m above the ground.
An elevator is also installed inside the castle tower so that many people can easily view it.
I introduced it briefly, but when you actually come to the site, you can experience the history and tradition more concretely with the locals.
